Mexicans are a proud race. Everything they do is done with pride and esperanza, hope. Although the majority live in poverty they believe with hard work and determination they will one day escape their living situation and have a better life.
The outfits you see worn in the photo on the right depicts popular attire for a dance known as el jarabe (more information of this dance can be found under the music and dress tab). This is traditional festive clothing.
Pinatas! Mariachis! These are two things you see often associated with Mexican parties! Pinatas aren't always this simple, sometimes they come in the shape of popular characters like Spongebob Squarepants, Spiderman, and even Dora the Explorer! Tell me who doesn't want to give Dora a good whack in the face with a stick?!

Dia de los muertos (the day of the dead) is a popular day of celebration for Mexicans. This is the day where they go to pay tribute to the dead and make festivities in honor of those who have passed on to the afterlife.
